A Dream That’s Still Cooking
What started as a small café in 1986 has grown into a local favorite, thanks to founders Clara Huling, Roda Hadi, and Willie Stanford. They dreamed of sharing Southern hospitality with LA—and that dream lives on with every meal. You can not beat this place. The food is amazing. I love the file gumbo, smothered pork chops and meatloaf. Be sure not to miss the fried chicken. Finish your meal with buttermilk pie; you will not be disappointed. Still my favorite place to eat
